University Police -- Fingerprinting

University Police offers a fingerprinting service for people needing background checks, including:

  • Bar Association applicants

  • Education majors

  • Day Care workers

  • Securities brokers

  • Pharmacy majors

  • Nursing students

  • Criminal Justice students

If you need to be fingerprinted, you must obtain the fingerprint card(s) from the requesting agency (ie: prospective employer, Bar Association, Camp Adventure, etc.) UT Police DOES NOT provide fingerprint cards.

You must present your driver’s license, state ID card, or other picture ID when you come to be fingerprinted. The entire process takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

The process costs $10 for up to 3 cards for UT students. People not affiliated with UT must pay $15 for up to 3 cards. People requiring more than 3 cards must pay $5 per additional card. State background checks can be performed for a fee of $30 for students, faculty, and staff. People not affiliated with UT must pay $35.

We accept exact cash or checks only. All checks should be made payable to University of Toledo Police. Appointments are required. To schedule an appointment, contact University Police at 419.530.4439.
