The University of Toledo Police Department employs close to 100 full time and part time police officers, dispatchers, civilian staff, and student workers. Information, including job requirements, pay, benefits, and how to apply, are listed below.

The University of Toledo is no longer accepting applications

for University Law Enforcement Officer.

A preliminary review of the qualifications of individuals who applied by the Sept. 14, 2007 deadline was conducted.  Individuals are being notified via U.S. Mail if they are eligible to take the entry-level written police examination on October 13, 2007.   Individuals who did not meet minimum requirements to continue in the selection process are also being notified via U.S. Mail.

Individuals who have been invited to test should report to the University of Toledo’s Driscoll Center, at the northwest corner of the intersection of West Bancroft Street and University Hills Boulevard (click HERE for a map of this intersection). If you have been invited to test and wish to continue in the process, report to Driscoll Center room 1019, on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., and the test will begin promptly at 8 a.m. You MUST bring a valid driver’s license.

Admittance into the testing facility will not be permitted after 8 a.m.  Additionally, no candidate will be permitted to leave the testing facility once the examination has begun.  Candidates may only leave the testing facility once they have completed their examination.  All candidates are required to complete the competitive police examination in order to be considered for this position.  Failure to participate in this examination would eliminate you from the selection process for University Law Enforcement Officer.

If you have any questions, please contact: Lt. Brett A. Weaver at 419-530-2599, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
